Abstract
The article presents the issue of chastity as a sexual right based upon the contents included in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Chastity is the integrity of man as a human being, as well as the integrity of his gift of himself. The attention was paid to the essential relation-ship between chastity and human dignity, and therefore with the necessity of moderation and self-control, for which permanent effort is essential throughout life. Forms of chasti-ty are different – according to different states of life. Aspiration to achieving the chastity of heart is necessary to development of humanity.

20 YEARS OF ST. ADALBERT PARISH IN LEGNICA
Abstract
St. Adalbert Parish in Legnica was found in 1997 by the decree of bishop Tadeusz Rybak. In the same year pope John Paul II visited the city and celebrated a Holy Mass in the area of the former airport. The parish temple is called a memorial church of this visit of the Holy Father. Not only the building is raised using construction of the “papal altar” brought from the airport, but also the altar, the pulpit and the throne from the same celebration can be found here. The history of the parish is shortly outlined in this article.

Résumé
Le sanctuaire marial de Górzyca, situé dans l’ouest de la Pologne, a commencé au début du Moyen Age. Son histoire est liée à l’évangélisation des régions païennes à l’époque de Piast en Pologne, où le diocèse de Lubusz a été fondé en 1124-1565. Ce diocèse appartenait à la métropole de Gniezno. Les conflits avec les mouvements réformistes et l’influence du Brandebourg menèrent à sa destruction (1551). Le culte marial de Górzyca est en train de renaître depuis la seconde guerre mondiale.

Abstract
«Sons of God» is the term applied in the Old Testamet to supernatural beings both good and evil. However the general view is that the «sons of God» were the pious descendants of Seth and the daughters of men, the Cainitish offspring. In this article there are strong ar-guments against it. First of all, the term «sons of God» is never applied in the Old Testa-ment to believers. Secondly, is no proof in the text that the daughters of men were only descendants of the Cainites. Thirdly, if the «sons of God» were simply pious Sethites, it is hard to understand why the offspring should be a special race. Besides, the giants were Nephilim, which means “the fallen ones”. That is why the term «sons of God» must mean supernatural evil beings. These angels married women of the human race (either Cainites or Sethites) and the resulting offspring were the Nephilim. The Nephilim were giants with physical superiority and therefore established themselves as men of renown for their phy-sical prowess and military might. This race of half human creatures was wiped out by the flood. New Testament (Jud 5-6; 2 Pet 2,4 i 1 Pet 3,18-20) hint on Gen 6,1-4. This Scriptures declares that the fallen angels are angels, which sinned and God did not spare them. The fallen angels left their own habitation and mixed with the daughters of men.

WHO IS A PROPHET? AN INTRODUCTIONTO THE HESCHEL’S ANTHROPOLOGY
Abstract
The main aim of this article is to present the anthropology of Abraham Joshua Heschel, a XX-century judaistic thinker. The specific example of his vision of human being is the biblical portrait of a prophet. The anthropology of Heschel rejects the degradation of hu-man being which is dominating in systematical philosophy. The Heschel’s description of a human being uses such specific criteria as: its great value, exceptionality, mutuality, in-finality, holiness. That contains the first part of this work. The second is the analysis of an original portrait of a biblical prophet. He is not a prophet (in a popular in ancient time meaning), he is neither a poet, nor a mystical man, but he is called to share with God his pathos – and this is the source of his mission. The fundamental for Heschel’s idea of pathos means ferrent empathy, passionate care. That idea forms both the vision of God (He is not the philosophical God, but – the living One) and the picture of a human being (Heschel doesn’t accept the ascetic style of living as unbiblical). Specifically, rich realization of hu-man being is a life of prophet. Both his transgression and courage became a challenge for every faithful person.

Abstract
The article attempts to verify Jerzy Sperka’s thesis that Władysław Opolczyk was in posses-sion of Bolesławiec located in Silesia and its Weichbild. It contains references which prove that Bolesławiec was bestowed upon Agnieszka von Habsburg. Based on sources from the Middle Ages and the modern era, it also specifies the information about the territory of the Duchy of Świdnica-Jawor.

Abstract
The article concerned the problem of miscarriage in psychological, legal and religious aspects. In the study the most important issues related to the miscarriage were considered based on scientific literature, regulations and testimonies of people from Pastoral Care of Parents of Lost Children in the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki. The article has been divided into three parts. Primarily, the psychological and social con-sequences of losing a child as a result of miscarriage were discussed. Secondly, the current legal situation of parents who lost child, followed by issues related to the religious dimen-sion of miscarriage were described.

Zusammenfassung
Heinrich II. gab die Idee eines universalistischen Reiches auf, das sein Vorgänger Kaiser Otto III. vertrat, und unternahm langjährige Kriege mit Bolesław Chrobry, der sich als oberster Herrscher aller slawischen Völker betrachtete. Historiographie dieses Kampfes kam unter dem Namen des ersten, zweiten und dritten Krieges mit Deutschland. Es war eine Periode von fünfzehnjährigen (1003-1018) politischen und militärischen Kämpfen von Boleslaw I. Chrobry mit Heinrich II. Die Ergebnisse dieser Kriege – Frieden in Budziszyn (Bautzen) abgeschlossen in 1018. – war die Folge des politischen und militärischen Genie, das den Boleslaw I. Chrobry zeichnete aus.

Zusammenfassung
Dionysius Areopagita bleibt eine geheimnisvolle und kontroverse Gestalt. Jedoch stellen seine Schriften zweifelsohne einen wichtigen Bestandteil der christlichen philosophischen Literatur dar. Die Werke werden am häufigsten in der Angelologie und Ekklesiologie her-beigeführt, obwohl ihr Autor – der Aspirationen jeglicher neoplatonischen Gedanken en-tsprechend – ein System, das die ganze Wirklichkeit umfasst, zu erschaffen strebte. Der Beitrag konzentriert sich auf den anthropologischen Teil, indem er ihn aufzuzeigen, zu unterstreichen und zu systematisieren versucht: angefangen mit der Verfassung des Men-schen, über seine epistemischen Fähigkeiten, bis zu seiner Stellung in der Seinshierarchie

PRAYER IN POLISH FAMILIES IN THE LIGHTOF THE EXHORTATION
AMORIS LAETITIA
Abstract
Reflection in the light of the exhortation of Amoris laetitia over family prayer, proposed in selected Polish prayer books, brought out common contents. Prayer builds in the family the communion of people in the image of the Holy Trinity. Prayer permeates the spirituali-ty of the home Church, introducing into mature relationships and sacrificial attitudes. The Catholic prayer of families is focusing on the Eucharistic mystery. Revived by the reading of the word of God and home catechesis, it is a source of the Lord’s blessing. Prayer memo-ry for close relatives of the dead strengthens love by giving each other spiritual goods. Po-lish prayer books are characterized by a strong reference to the church year and the liturgy.

Abstract
The crisis of values, authority and identity that affects contemporary Europe encourages the Church to act that will protect Christians from axiological and moral degradation. One of the areas that can do this through their methods is Catholic social teaching. The article is a presentation of the most important assumptions of Catholic social science and an indication of how concepts of the nation and state together with goals and rights and obligations should be implemented so that both the citizen and the rulers can strive for the common good.

A MARTYR FOR FAITH OR A DEFENDER OF CHRISTIANITY? A few methodological remarks with reference to the studies of the tradition of prince Henry the Pious
Abstract
The article is an attempt to summarize the actual state of investigation of Prince Henry the Pious’ tradition. My aim was to present the main frame of historical sources and to indicate their credibitlity and cognitive usefulnes in the research process. Special stress was put on necessity of distinguishing between the texts informing us about the death of the Silesian monarch near Legnica and those that are useful for getting to know how the memory or his cult had functioned in the past. The proposed courses of the enquiry may initiate future re-searche to broaden the base of sources necessary to reconstruct the full picture of functio-nig of the prince Henry’s tradition in the modern period from 16th century till nowadays.

ORGAN FESTIVALS IN KŁODZKO IN THE YEARS 1987-2008
Abstract
Churches have been a place of musical concerts for many years. For centuries, artists and music lovers have gathered in them to listen to various musical works. In 1987, Congrega-tion for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in the document Concerts in Churches clarified the norms concerning the organization of concerts in churches, stating, inter alia, that musical meetings may take place in the churches due to favourable acoustic conditions, and songs properly selected to the place help the listener to experience the music event much better. Attention was also paid to the organs, thanks to which it is po-ssible to present numerous musical works. The first concerts in Lower Silesia took place in the years 1952-1956 in the cathedral of Wroclaw. In 1987, they were initiated in Kłodzko, and then from 1992 in Polanica Zdrój. Kłodzko Evenings of Organ Music in later years changed their rank to international one. The last meeting took place in 2008 in the church of Jesuits in Kłodzko.

Abstract
The article presents the main achievements of Rev. prof. Marian Rusecki in interpreta-tion of the resurrection of Christ. Lublin Professor believes that the truth about the rise of Christ from the dead occupies a central place in theology and in Christian life. In his opinion, the contemporary achievements of biblical exegesis, a critical dialogue with the history of theology and a reference to the human existence (paschal anthropology) allow to show the truth as well as the multidimensionality of the Easter mystery.

Abstract
Members of the Order of the Reformati arrived to Poland to fill gaps in pastoral ministry, especially in small towns. They promoted an idea of returning to the evangelical vision of life, which left saint founder in his will. Their ministry, as well as the witness of life, were to be a sign of his vitality in post-Tridentine Church. On the one hand the ascetic life and on the other hand the life dedicated to the congregation of the Reformati was a perfect proof of the Church’s rebirth and its return to the ideals of the Gospel.
