Abstract: Hermit life in the Archdiocese of Tarragona. Statutes is a very interesting document dealing with the topic of eremitic life. Ks. Przemysław Głuszek THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HOLY COMMUNION AND ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT IN SHAPING ATTITUDES IN THE EUCHARISTIC YOUTH MOVEMENT
Abstract: Receiving the sacrament of the Eucharist, especially for the first time in life, is an important moment for the entire family of the Church. It is then we experience a meeting with God who offered himself to human being for his salvation. This sacramental meeting requires proper preparation, especially in the consumerist experiencing of the First Holy Communion that is prevailing today. Formation groups with specific charisms help to prepare well and to experience the sacraments themselves. With regard to the sacrament of the Eucharist, an important role is played by the Eucharistic Youth Movement, which helps to experience the Eucharist more deeply, and draws attention to the essence of adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. This, in turn, helps to shape specific attitudes, thanks to which the eucharistic spiritual life is being deepened.
Keywords: the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament, adoration, sacraments, testimony, formation, apostleship.

Michael Grütering SYNODAL PATH IN GERMANY
Abstract: Pope Francis convened the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (2021-2023), whose theme were words: Towards the Synodal Church: communion, participation and mission. The specificity of each country undoubtedly suggests more specific problems that are addressed during the ongoing synod. However, one cannot speak of a German Sonderweg in the sense that the Catholic Church in Germany is against the Holy See. Listening to the Church distinguishes four areas of issues: 1) the question of power; 2) the issue of sexuality; 3) the question of the priestly lifestyle; 4) the question of the position of women in the Church. The participants of the synodal path become aware that the search for answers is only the beginning of important process for the Church.
Keywords: Synod of Bishops, Sonderweg, Catholic Church in Germany, Church hierarchy, sexuality, priest, woman in the Church

Marek Janik SPIRITUS MOVENS OF THE LAW OF CHEREM IN VIEW OF THE CONQUEST OF CANAAN (JOS 6,22-7,26)
Abstract: Cherem has been defined as a mode of isolating and rendering harmless of all, which threatens the religious life of the nation. Everything that could contaminate Israel religiously had been destroyed, so the institution of the cherem was not to be opposed to a military threat, but a religious one. The Canaanites were sinful, depraved people, and their death was punishment. Cherem is concerned with the annihilation of the others, perceived either as enemies or as an obstacle in fulfillment of the Lord’s promise of a land to Israel. Although repugnant to the contemporary reader, the cherem shows YHWH’s absolute loyalty to his oath made to Israel’s ancestors. The Canaanite people were aware of what YHWH had done for the Israelites, and thus were aware that He is the true God, and yet still refused to give over the land to the Israelites in defiance of Him. God fights on behalf of his people Israel against their enemies. JHWH’s presence was in their midst and was the one who brought the victory. Canaanites were destroyed because they were morally contaminated. They represented a spiritual danger to the Israelites, they were known for grotesque practices such as child sacrifices and cult prostitution.

Jarosław Młynarczyk THE NARROW ROAD OF THEOSOPHY. PRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT IN THE SPIRIT AND UNDERSTANDING PROPOSED BY B.F. TRENTOWSKI
Abstract: The purpose of the article is to present the concept and to trace the intuitions being behind the concept of “theosophy”. It is not only the eternal question of the human being about God, but also a philosophical attempt to get to know of God’s essence, to explain to the human being, who He is. B.F. Trentowski, the author of the term, tries to show that this is the first philosophy and free from any compulsion, a way of worshiping the God through constant attempts of getting to know Him. He pushes through the theory of God – the greatest of Thinkers, who being the height of wisdom, calls upon all philosophers (enthusiast of wisdom) to recognize Him in His creation, which is to be the realization of the word – God’s thought. Whoever grasps this thought ends the stage of wandering in ignorance.
Keywords: God, philosophy of religion, Christian philosophy, philosophy of God, Polish philosophy, romanticism, theosophy, Trentowski.

Ks. Adam R. Prokop A WORD DOOMED TO TECHNOLOGY
Abstract: An attempt to retrospectively trace the development of the word technology and its influence on human thinking makes a central part of the article. A description of the present state based on a definition of technopoly proposed by Neil Postmann (1931-2003) is the starting point. Next, when considering the technocracy that precedes the present situation and at the same time its source, Postman’s thought will be expanded to include analyses performed by Walter J. Ong (1912-2003) concerning the influence of interiorization of writing on the European mentality. Ong’s intuition about orality and the need to emphasize it differences, especially antagonisms, in relation to literacy, which is typical of a man in the 21st century, is also considered. Discussing Plato’s criticism of writing and an attempt to apply it similarly to later media is another important point. The purpose of the article is to draw attention to the influence of a medium through which a word is communicated, to its content, and the possibility of capturing it.
Keywords: Neil Postman, Walter J. Ong, Plato, writing, orality.

Marzena Rachwalska APOSTLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – ST. MIRIAM OF JESUS CRUCIFIED (LITTLE ARAB WOMAN)
Abstract: St. Miriam of Jesus Crucified is the fruit of the Holy Land. Her short 33-year life shows that you can devote yourself completely to the Holy Trinity and be united with God through difficult experiences. Her intimacy with the Holy Spirit, Mary and the saints shows us a truly mystical school of life. Passing through the three periods of spiritual life, she achieved the highest degree of union in love. Martyrdom, numerous wanderings, repeated persecutions and humiliations represent the reality and the abundance of the mystical gifts that have been given to her as an exceptional saint, as the Betrothed of Jesus Christ. The mystical experience of the Holy Spirit was especially characteristic throughout Miriam Baouard’s life. She wrote a beautiful prayer to the Holy Spirit that is known all over the world.
Keywords: Holy Spirit, Little Arab, mystical experience, charisms, martyrdom of blood, Carmel.

Jan Ryszard Sielezin SOME OF THE AUTHORITIES POLICY ASPECTS TOWARDS THE CHURCH, RELIGIOUS COMMUNITIES IN THE INTERWAR PERIOD AND THE POLISH PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC. SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES
Abstract: The aim of the article is to present in a synthetic frame the policy of the state’s authorities towards the Church in 1918-1989. There were many signs of cooperation, joint actions, coexistence of the Church and the State during the Second Polish Republic. Whereas, in 1939-1945 the Church was, as an institution and an organisation, ruthlessly destroyed by the Third Reich and the clergymen were arrested and imprisoned in concentration camps. New historical stage is set from 1945 to 1989. During this period the Catholic Church was fought down by the institutions of the communist state. The clergy were repressed, religion teaching was removed from schools and the worshipers were harassed. Only after electing Karol Wojtyła to the position of the Pope did the communist authorities change their policy towards the Catholic Church which supported signs of civil opposition to the governing body.
Keywords: policy, national minorities, civil rights, the Roman Catholic Church, the April Constitution, repressions, concordat, censorship, liquidation of religion teaching at schools, political confrontation, political opposition.

Rafał Szopa THEOLOGY OF SCIENCE: AN ATTEMPT TO THE INTEGRAL APPROACH OF REALITY
Abstract: Theology of science is not the same as theology in science. For a long time, theologians were looking in the exact and natural sciences for confirmation of their expectations, that is, confirmation of the doctrine of faith. Ontological and methodological naturalism forced theology to change its approach to the exact and natural sciences. Instead of looking for “traces” of God in creation, the theology of science sees in the created world one great trace of God. It does not demand the exact and natural sciences to confirm the biblical teaching, but shows that the subject of theology and sciences research is the same reality created by God.
Keywords: sciences, creation, transcendentals, simplicity, beauty, scientific theories.

S.E.R. Mons. Angelo Vincenzo Zani SAPIENTIA CHRISTIANA CONSTITUTION AND THE CHALLENGES OF THE NEW EVANGELIZATION
Abstract: The Apostolic Sapientia Christiana Constitution on universities and church departments was published on April 15, 1979 by Pope John Paul II. It pays attention to the fact so that Church studies more and more meet the challenges and current problems. The new evangelization, which is the “face” of today’s evangelizing mission to the world, is to be realized in church structures and directly in the pastoral activity of the clergy and the apostolic mission of lay Catholics. The essence of the Constitution Sapientia Christiana, moreover, the experience of the Church in general is an inexhaustible source of wisdom for the new evangelization.
Keywords: Sapientia Christiana Constitution, Catholic universities, Church faculties, new evangelization, evangelization, educational mission of the Church.
